Living out loud with Lewy Body Dementia

SIPS Bill of Rights

“Spousal Immunities & Protections for Sanity”

After extensive deliberation by the Committee of Exhausted Spousal Caregivers, the following rights were unanimously adopted for the preservation of caregivers, marriages, household harmony and, often, sanity.

These rights are not legally enforceable.

Unfortunately.

They are, however, deeply understood by anyone caring for a spouse living with Lewy Body Dementia.

The amendments below are added as experience, wisdom, humor and necessity require. Click the link to learn more….

The SIPS Bill of Rights:

#1: Exclusive Rights to the Caregiver’s Coffee Cup

#2: The Right to a Good Night’s Sleep

#3: Sheba’s Right to Chase Squirrels

#4: Hugs and “I Love You” Clean the Slate

#5: The Right to Laugh at Things That Are Not Actually Funny

#6: The Right to Dirty Dishes

#7: The Right to Remember Who Came First

Ratified by the Committee of Exhausted Spousal Caregivers. Approved by Sheba. Ignored by squirrels.

Additional rights will be added as considered necessary as the journey continues.
