Team Matt crossed the finish line yesterday!
44 miles of peddling, good fun, beautiful wine country scenery

It was a ride, not a race, for that I am grateful
Lots of time to pair up alongside and have conversations
Many chose e-bikes, some of us were “Amish” (a term for riding without electric assist I learned yesterday)

Matt was at the finish line cheering us on as we came across
His caregiver Nora and Jim, Eric and Lisa were there with him as we crossed
Eric had ridden with us and finished ahead of us
We had our private Team moment to finish together
One advantage of falling toward the back of the pack!
I have to say, our team, was amazing
More than half of us were north of 70 years of age! 70 years young I should say!
We had a total of 8 riders yesterday, a terrific group
Together we raised over $8,000! Power and fuel to find a cure for this madness

We rode for all our hero’s and angels
This morning, the morning after, I sit in my little nest, thinking about yesterday, tears swell in my eyes
So much love shared through out this: during the ride and by everyone along the way as we prepared for yesterday
All the encouragement, financial support
I must also say the team of Team Fox were a joy to engage with
Samantha, Sam, was my point of contact during the weeks that lead up to this
We finally got to meet yesterday…..her energy, positivity was absolutely infectious!
There wasn’t an issue she wasn’t up for helping us resolve

It takes a village! A beautiful, amazing village. We are truly blessed

Matt felt the love
So much so….he slept in his jersey
How is that for cute?
Thank you all, from the depths of our souls ❤️❤️
