Our little girl Sheba has been hurting lately
Saturday night, early Sunday morning she yelped out in pain
We were on the brink of taking her to the emergency vet…..but as we began to set things in motion, she came out of it, walked around like normal
The same pattern repeated Sunday night, Monday early morning…..she moved out of it by the time Lo came
On my way out I called and made an appointment with the vet for Tuesday morning
She expressed pain again Monday evening
This has happened before and when we took her to the vet it was like the opposite of white coat syndrome
You know white coat syndrome: where your blood pressure spikes because you are in to see the doctor
In this case, she gets all normal, all lovable lab when she goes to the vet
So the times we have approached the vet about this, about her screaching in pain, they couldn’t help us because they couldn’t find anything wrong
This time, I took video, I took the video to the vets
It was enough to convince them they needed to recommend xrays
Sheba apparently has a condition that has her body sending fluid, inflammation to her lower spine
She also has a knee that is arthritic
We are only beginning to sort out what to do here
Tonight, she is completely out of it, doped with meds to help her calm down, bring the inflammation down
I laid on the floor by her, offered her a pillow for her chin, rubbed her little paw till her eyes closed
My poor little girlie….pray for her will you?
