Our doggie Sheba is a smartie
Mary sent a video of her pup Zoey working a dog puzzle
Flip a lever, move an obstacle, get a treat, repeat
We had to get a puzzle for the Shebs…..
While Zoey used paw, nose and tongue
Sheba maintained her balance on all four legs, used nose and tongue technique to complete the puzzle quickly
But her puzzle skills aren’t really what brings her smartness to the forefront this morning….
She’s a lab, she’ll eat anything, every dog lover knows that about the breed
A burrito still in aluminum foil she finds on a walk, you name it
Yesterday, I went to feed Sheba around 4:30
Matt says, “I have already fed her”
Hmmmmm……when did you feed her, when I was in the water tower?
(I ask because Sheba is a noisy eater and I didn’t her her gobble down her food)
So I went to her “station” to see…………….from afar there looked like food in her bowl, with the usual water as gravy
“Oh, it does look like you fed her, but strangely, she didn’t eat her food”
Anyone who knows labs knows what I am saying is strange, your eyebrows are furrowed, you don’t exactly know what’s next
The bowl was filled with dog food looking pellets….so I took a closer look
It was filled with whole bean coffee, not dog food!
Matt had clearly confused coffee beans with food we normally feed her
Sheba was smart enough to know not to eat that! Coffee is toxic to dogs
We had just gone to CostCo and bought a bunch of things, one of which was a large bag of coffee beans
Needlesstosay, the situation got rapidly rectified and Sheba gobbled down her food as normal
Sheba so smart…..
