I started the Uncle Lewy blog in June 2025, having zero experience doing anything like this

Now, there are 137 posts communicating our journey

I was feeling things were getting a bit bulky, there were some issues that needed fix’n, things could be more interesting

Mary said, “why don’t you ask AI to help you” when I had mentioned using Thumbtack to hire someone with WordPress experience

At the time she mentioned it, I was tired, so using AI to help me felt overwhelming

She took it on herself, typing into ChatGPT the issue I had voiced

She read out loud the response, which seemed reasonable, doable, when I wasn’t so tired

Spring forward a few days, when I found myself needing a quiet activity as Matt slept away most of Saturday

I started a convo with ChatGPT, started making changes to the blog site

I told Chat who my audience was

Chat reviewed my site and very nicely first complimented me on what I have already done, then provided some suggestions

When I couldn’t figure something out, I asked Chat how to do it

Always patient, never condescending, never a know it all, always kind

It was actually a pretty decent experiement!

I’ve now added pictures of us, made plans for a way new folks can easily drop in, or help those walking with us to find key posts

Made some explanatory things a bit easier to get to
