For those of you in our village sending out prayers on our behalf, please know they are working

My mind is currently reeling from the potential of 2 blessings that just arrived on our doorstep of life

First, we are potentially within weeks of having live in help here

Through the connectedness of Lisa and Nick, they introduced us to Joey Co who works to find students affordable living in exchange for them helping where there is need in a home

Justin Robins, Teagan and others in my extended family, have done this, but found the homes/ families a bit more informally

Joey Co is making a more accessible model

So we aren’t just getting a student, that’s where the mind blowing part comes in

Courtney has a masters in social work, has been working with veterans dealing with PTSD, so cognitive issues

She is originally from Kentucky but has been living, went to college, in Brisbane Australia for the las 10 years or so

So read more mature, study and work relevant to our situation

She wants to study Native American methods, medicine, healing practices, to integrate some of that into her practice

That desire to study this area of knowledge is what is behind her availability to us, her hunt for housing, her connection to Joey Co

We are walking through this step by careful step, but it definitely feels like the answer to prayers, the answer to many observant eyes what is needed next in this journey

But, as they say, there is more……..

For whatever reason, who knows, I had never been exposed a lot to Matt’s dad’s side of the family

I knew he had an Aunt Marty who lives in the North East, we have spent time with her

I was vaguely aware that Walter’s twin Bob had kids, but again, we just hadn’t spent the time together

Matt, of course, has tons and tons of great memories….

But the busy-ness of adult life across the board made it such that my awareness of these folks was limited

Matt’s cousin Kristen, 2nd child of Bob, lives here in Sonoma.

As of this August, hardly a month ago, her younger sister is here now too

Add 2 more family peeps to our village

We had dinner with Kristen last night

Poor thing could hardly get a bite of food because I was asking so many questions about her life, I am just now able to get to know her

She has had such an interesting life, I was enthralled with her stories

She has been the main caregiver of both her parents who had their own cognitive challenges, and now her sister Kate is facing those challenges

There was so much joy in the promise of reconnecting Matt and Kate in Kristen’s eyes last night, I was overwhelmed, grateful for this unexpected but beautiful development

Next week Kristen offered to take Matt over to see Kate in her new place nearby

I am light headed, profoundly grateful right now

Recognizing that these wonderful things are very much the result of all the prayers being said on our behalf

My recent post about abundance too reflects these prayers, my gratefulness for them

Your prayers are working, thank you

I honestly have no better words, am speechless, at the beauty of this, overwhelmed at the promise I see on the horizon at this moment
