I submitted my truth to the Virginia Board of Accountancy in July

I fell 30+ hours short of my education requirements due to the fact our lives were invaded by Uncle Lewy

The VA Board of Accountancy had to determine what kind of disciplinary action they would take due to my self reported short fall of continuing education credits

Like all professions, staying up to date is critical to maintaining a license that reflects a lifetime of work

This morning they got back to me with their considered response:

Based on the documentation provided, the additional CPE required for CPE compliance for CY 2022, 2023, and 2024 has been waived. However, beginning CY 2025, CPE compliance is required……

Hallelujah!!!!

The emotional lift that came from reading that email was nothing less than transformative

It felt soooo good!

A bright light in the midst of all this

It’s not that I plan to use the credential, it’s more of I don’t want to loose it because I prioritized loving, caring for Matt

Who knows, maybe I will need to really use it some time in the future

Who knows what the future holds

I am so very grateful for the understanding and compassion expressed to me through this conclusion.
